Magnetic rods for rust removal from recirculating water


Suspended rust particles are a common problem in recirculating water systems. Hot water loops are more susceptible to high rust particle concentration as corrosion rates generally increase with temperature. Inadequate water treatment and lack of filtration of equipment can result in high levels of rust from corroding pipework which can cause damage to valves and pump impellers and blockages in heat exchanges.
High Strength Magnetic rod assemblies from Siga Filtration provide an excellent solution for continuous removal of rust from recirculating HVAC water. Removable Magnetic rods are supplied inside stainless steel sleeves for easy maintenance. This sleeve also protects the magnet as all rust particles stick to the sleeve and magnet can be removed clean. These magnet assemblies can be installed in:
