INJECTION MOULDING MACHINE COOLING WATER FILTERS

Cooling water is a critical processing component of injection moulding process. Siga Filtration can offer a range of products to remove scale and rust from recirculating cooling water.

Recirculating cooling water accumulates corrosion products from mould and piping, contaminants from seals, sediment from make up water and scale due to incorrect water treatment. These contaminants can cause uneven temperature on mould surface and block mould cooling channels and heat exchanger tubes. Insufficient temperature control during cooling cycle can result in inconsistent part dimensions, sink marks, poor surface finish and warped sections. Whether you are using an open circuit cooling water system or dedicated chillers, a correctly sized filtration system will ensure efficient heat transfer, reduce cycle times, reduce rejections and keep your moulds performing at optimum levels.

1FU Single cartridge filter housing features inline design, industrial grade stainless steel construction and threaded closure to withstand tough operating conditions.

FWK Multi cartridge filter housings can be used for high flow rate filtration of cooling water in large mould shops. These can be installed on the main cooling water supply or dedicated chillers to suit unique requirements. F

acuraMultiflow filter cartridges are designed for use with 1FU & FWK cartridge filter housings and provide efficient filtration down to as low as 1 micron. Polypropylene media is compatible with a wide range of cooling fluids. These cartridges are manufactured with high void volume for low clean pressure drop and long service life.

ALSI bag filter housings feature high flow rate cooling water filtration capability and a space saving design. Housings are manufactured from 304SS and come with a clamped closure as standard. These bag housings take industry standard size 3 & size 4 filter bags.

acuraBag Filter bags can be used with ALSI bag housings and are available in Polypropylene or Polyester. These filter bags are capable of handling high flow rates and suitable for applications with high dirt loads.

BFOS bag housings take size 1 or 2 filter bags and provide the highest flow rate capacity. These can also be combined with our magnetic assemblies to provide an effective solution for rust removal.

Magnetic Assemblies can be used with our bag filters housings to remove rust from corroding mould tools and pipework.
